Douglas B. Baker

Douglas B. Baker is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Baker Global. He brings a background in law, public service, private investment, and international advisory to the firm’s work across emerging and frontier markets.

Before founding Baker Global, Mr. Baker held senior U.S. government roles focused on national security, border and transportation security, international financial policy, trade development, and foreign market access. He later co-founded Monument Capital Group, a private investment and advisory firm focused on global and national security sectors.

At Baker Global, Mr. Baker leads the firm’s investment and advisory platform, working with institutional investors, sovereign governments, and strategic partners to structure complex opportunities where capital, policy, and execution must align.
